Young Dog’s Family Didn’t Want Him Anymore, So They Dropped Him At Vet To Be Euthanized

Egbert was just two years old when his owners sent him to a vet to be euthanized during the COVID lockdown.

Thankfully, instead of going through with it, the vet decided to contact Sidewalk Specials, an animal rescue, for help.

Egbert had mange, anemia and tick bite fever, among other issues, but remained a very sweet little pup. He was lonely and depressed, and had no idea why his family didn’t want him.

Thanks to generous donors, Sidewalk Specials was able to raise enough money to pay for Egbert’s treatments.

After receiving treatment and some much-needed TLC, Egbert was finally given a clean bill of health, which meant he was ready for a forever home and was put up for adoption.

Egbert soon found a loving family who quickly welcomed him into their home. They decided to name him Dusty, and today, he is happier than ever!

His transformation is absolutely incredible, and he looks like a whole new dog. Instead of looking lonely and scared, he is always donning a smile from ear to ear.

His new family spoils him with birthday presents, toys, treats, and a warm bed to sleep in. He also has a doggy brother who he loves to play with.

Dusty is living his best life, all thanks to the vet who decided to give him a second chance at life, Sidewalk Specials who treated his illnesses, and his new family who is giving him all the love he’s always deserved.
